Children's Story- Sunny Sandhya and Samikshya |
Hello everybody. I`m Sandhya and am 16 years old. Me and my younger sister Samikshya came to CFO a few years ago. Our village is in the district of Gorkha on the way to the Annapurna mountains. About my past: I do not remember much about the time when we were brought to the children`s home in Kathmandu. My sister cried a lot and I had to comfort her all the time. My mother was ill for a long time and then she went away for treatment in India. I remember our grandfather telling us that she had died there and that he cannot care for us. In CFO-Childen`s Home my life got much easier. I did not have to care for my small sister so much and was free to play and to study at school. My sister is not really sick but she has problems with the movements of her hands and legs so it was always a trouble to get her dressed properly when she was small. I study in Class 10. When I was small I was even best in class but now that`s over and I think that I have to study much harder ! Samikshya is good in studying too although sometimes she has difficulties in pronouncing words.
